It’s way too early to predict who is going to win their divisions, make the playoffs, or become super bowl champions, but week one for the New York Giants showed some familiar signs of last season, starting with another opening day loss.

Let’s start with the struggling unproductive offense with a line that aloud D-backs to rush in uncovered or to slip free with a juke move here or there and get to Eli immediately

The receivers were not looking for the ball and many times appeared to be running a different play.

How about a defensive secondary, that despite the additions of Cromartie, and return of Stevie Brown, along with the talents of Rolle and Amukamara, the Lions torched for almost 400 yards in the air.

Many people blame Coach Coughlin and Ben McAdoo for the play selections, others are critical of Eli Manning saying he’s washed up.

First, it’s only one game, and the fans know that we have a new O-line, and a new type of west coast offense.

The players need to step up and make plays, everyone from the rookies to the stars need to do their jobs with more heart.

If you can’t play like a champion, you’ll never be one, and we know Eli Manning is a proven champion, I still believe he is a very good quarterback, let’s see what happens when the O-line starts to play better, and the receivers find ways to get open.

To be continued next week after the Arizona Cardinals come to town.
