Just a few months and the 2014-15 NBA season will begin, so I thought I’d take a minute and talk about the New York Knicks and maybe offer a few encouraging words to the fans.

Although the 2013-14 season was way below expectations with a 37-45 record, the statistics would indicate a team that never reached the cohesion necessary to be a championship team, the big reason, Knicks used 21 different starting lineups over the course of the season...Most-used lineup (17 games, Knicks 11-6) was  Felton/J.R. Smith/Chandler/Anthony/Stoudemire.

Their lack of team chemistry is evident in their inability to come back after being down double digits; they only did it six times all season.

They logged in a total of 191 manpower games missed due to injury/illness.

10 players made their Knicks debut during the 2013-14 season.

The Knicks were second best in the league with fewest turnovers.

Looking ahead to the new season it’s hard not to get excited, Melo is back, Amar’e was getting back to form at the end of last season, Tim Hardaway Jr continued his great play in the Knicks 2014 summer league and we have the new additions as well

I’m excited but not delusional, so let’s hope for a good season and maybe it will be better than that.  Go Knicks!
