Knicks coach, Derek Fisher, has said many times that we just want our team to compete and make it a game. Well, the past weekend this ‘new-look’, New York team did just that with back to back wins, on Friday against Detroit, and Saturday against the Toronto Raptors.

The players believe they can create something special to end the season on a good note. I think that is crucial to drawing any major talent to New York next season. Basically if the plan can work with the talent level they have now, think how much better it would be with a few superstars.

I can see the confidence in these new players like Langston Galloway, Lou Amundson and the latest surprise, guard Alexey Shved. Their efforts have inspired Tim Hardaway, Shane Larkin and rookie, Cleanthony Early.

The biggest surprise for me is the return of Andrea Bargnani. I never thought I would say that because I had him pegged for a trade or release going into the off season.

Knick fans have seen this kind of elevated play before, only to be disappointed again and again. I would just like to see the guys compete each night and make a game of it.

The Knicks play back to back games again, as they host the Kings at the garden tonight and the Pacers on the road Wednesday.

Go Knicks!
