Thinking back to the NBA summer league program last August, Knick fans had a lot to be excited about, we made it to the second round of the playoffs the past season and acquired 7 foot power forward Andrea Bargnani who could help us with shooting and rebounding, Meadow World Peace with his known aggressiveness on defense, and our draft pick Tim Hardaway Jr who looked promising in preseason.

All this and the nucleus of Carmello Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Amar’e Stoudemoire, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Ray Felton, had most of us feeling that this might be the season for a NBA championship, something that has been absent in New York for over 40 years.

Fans watched and didn’t give up on the team hoping that they would turn things around after losing streak upon losing streak, then a winning streak, oh wait another losing streak.

The Knicks are 13 and 2 over the past 15 games, they have lost to the worst teams in the league and are barley competitive with the winning teams.

The upper management has squandered away all of the draft picks they can legally get away with until 2018, all they can hope for is free agency with some cap money, instead of building the team through smart and solid draft picks.

Will Carmello sign with the Knicks after this season? The team can offer him $30 million more than any other team and an extra year on his career. The question is will they be able to win a championship? Not a chance.

As a fan I am disappointed beyond words.
