The New York Rangers even the series with an exciting 4-3 win last night in Washington.

When the Rangers lost game 4 and went down in the series, three games to one, many fans were giving up hope that they could stage a great comeback. Sort of like last year's second round playoff series against the Penguins.

The Blueshirts were up 4 to 1, early in the third period. I think they got a little too comfortable, and maybe went into the defensive mode a bit early, because the Capitals came storming back with two goals. With only six minutes left to play, the score was 4-3.

The finish gave all fans some excitement, the Rangers were called for a delay penalty with just over two minutes left in regulation. Plus Holtby vacated the net giving the Caps a six on four power play.

When the horn sounded the series was tied and game seven will be Wednesday night at the worlds most famous arena, Madison Square Garden.

This has been an exciting series and I am looking forward to seeing a great game seven.

Go Rangers!
