The Blue Shirts had a slip up in their 4-2 loss to the LA Kings, in the match-up for last year's Stanley Cup Finals, but they're still one of the top teams in the NHL.

They are poised to make the playoffs with 10 games remaining and they are also anticipating the return of their leader and star goalie, Henrik Lundqvist.

Lundqvist has been practicing with the team and most likely will return for Sunday's faceoff against the Washington Capitals at the Garden.

Meanwhile, back up Cam Talbot has filled in most impressively, with a 17-4-3 record since Lundqvist went down on February 2nd.

Talbot has proven he can defend the net, giving the Rangers some added depth, and they'll probably need it going into the post season.

The team has made it clear that Lundqvist is their best player and the leader of this squad.

I have become a real fan of these Blue Shirts over the past few years and I'm excited to see how far they can go this year. I think having Lundqvist back in the lineup will boast the players confidence.

The next game is tomorrow night at Ottawa.

Go Rangers!
