I have enjoyed watching this new group of players and even though they don't win every game, there just seems to be a better vibe on the court.

Last night the Knicks (108-97) lost to their rivals, the Boston Celtics, another team in a rebuilding stage.

The Knicks managed to score 97 points, but once again Amar'e Stoudemire (ankle) and Cole Aldrich (shin) did not play. The absence of these big guys has allowed teams like Indiana and Boston to thrive in the paint.

The Knicks are 10 and 39, and have fallen to the bottom of the Eastern conference again.

I do see an improvement and a better commitment to defense, Jose Calderon is shooting better, the new acquisitions are starting to get comfortable with the triangle offense, and the team is competing with opponents.

I like Lou Amundson. He battles, challenges opponents, and surprises me with his ability to score.

Langston Galloway, who was a 'D' league player, is still learning, and I'm quite sure the Knicks will get a legitimate point guard next season. Langston would be great coming off the bench.

I'm also enjoying the play of Jason Smith and Lance Thomas.

The Knicks will battle their cross town rivals the Brooklyn Nets Friday night.

Go Knicks!
