Last night was the NBA draft lottery, and the eyes of the sports world were watching to see who would get the number one pick in this year's draft.

The Minnesota Timber wolves got the number one pick and since they had the worst record this past year I would say it was karma.

I was watching to see where my team would place, and like most Knicks fans, I was hoping for one or two. Well, we got fourth pick.

It was a horrible season for the Knicks. I watched many games throughout the season, witnessing some major ass whippings by the elite teams of the NBA.

We heard from Knicks President Phil Jackson, at points throughout the season, assuring us that things would be better next season.

We have the fourth pick in the draft ,which will give us a top player next season. We also have plenty of money to get another quality player to help us move up in the standings, and compete for a play off position.

None of these things guarantees that the Knicks will be a playoff team next year.

There are many factors to consider such as, team chemistry, players staying healthy, and the match ups against other teams.

Coaching is also a big part of a teams success, and we haven't seen Derek Fisher at his best. This is mostly because the team just flat out sucked last year, so this will be a test for him and his coaching staff too.

I know the Knicks are looking for a big man who can score, block and intimidate in the paint, but they would be well served with an explosive guard who can dish and pass.

I am excited to see who we get in the draft ,and what free agency will bring to the team!
