Doug’s Sports Rap – Knicks Flop Again

Well here we are, mid-December, and my New York Knicks have managed to win 5 of the 27 games they have played this season. They have one win in their last 10 games and have won 3 of their 14 home games to date.

I watched the first quarter of last night's game against the Dallas Mavericks, and Clubber Lang (Mr T) said it best in 'Rocky III' when asked about his prediction on the match, 'pain'.

It's like when I was a kid and we wanted Nestles Quick chocolate mix but we didn't have any milk, so we made it with water. It always had some remnants of the mix and tasted flat and well, watery.

The current roster of players show almost no team chemistry, even coach Derek Fisher has got that 'deer in headlights' expression.

They are one of the worst teams in the NBA and are tied for the most losses with the Philadelphia 76ers.

I do think some changes will be made before the trade deadline, but I also think Phil Jackson will stick to his plan and not give up any draft picks or commit to a big contract from a mid season acquisition.

Yes, it's going to be a really bad season for Knicks fans, but I'll put my money on Phil Jackson to deliver a very good team in the next few seasons.
