Well it didn't bring chants of championship or even playoffs. The Knicks won their first game since December 12th defeating a banged up New Orleans Pelican team, 99-92, in front of a Madison Square Garden crowd, during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day matinee.

I actually watched this game from start to finish and was pleased by the play of the new members, especially Langston Galloway who had 21 points. Jose Calderon had a big 3 in the final minutes to put the game out of reach and break the Knicks 16 game losing streak.
I like the player development, and I think the fans and even the commentators recognize this is a restructuring of a team, that could be much improved next year with the right group of players, and Phil Jackson is a master at building championship teams. The Knicks have a chance to win a few games, as the next 4 teams they face all have below .500 records.

The Knicks travel to Philly Wednesday night to take on the second worse team in the league, the Sixers. How about some team spirit or even wishful thinking. Go Knicks!
