Two years ago the New York Knicks won 54 games and the Atlantic Division. Last night, they lost their 50th game of this season in a 106-78 blow out loss against the Denver Nuggets.

Officially the NBA's worst team (12-50), this Knicks team is a nightmare to watch. Yet fans remain positive that Phil Jackson will turn this team around and bring us some good years.

I have said before, this is a team which has been stripped down to allow for some serious salary cap money to sign some marque players for next season.

The question now is who would want to come and play for a team that is the laughing stock of the league? I had heard that the organization was looking to bring center Marc Gasol into the picture for next year. However when Gasol was asked if he would consider the Knicks, he wouldn't.

Phil Jackson is also considering trading the Knicks first round draft pick this year, which would be no lower than a #4 pick. That might not be a bad thing if they can get a proven player. And with about $25 million in cap space cash, the Knicks could get another quality free agent, which would give them two more talented players along side Carmelo Anthony for next season.

Any way you look at it, the team has no where to go but up! An improved team next season is an absolute given.

Go Knicks!
