The New York Giants will start the season without their star defensive end Jason Pierre Paul, who was involved in an accident on July 4th, when fireworks exploded resulting in a loss of his right index finger.

JPP was negotiating a big $15 million dollar contract with the team, and now his future in the NFL is questionable.

I did some research and found that because Paul was injured in an such a risky activity, he may not get anything, although nothing has been said to that affect.

The team has reached out to Jason as a matter of concern for his health and well being. I'm sure this is devastating to him, and the Giants organization wants to make sure he is doing alright.

JPP also received some skin grafts and other repair to a thumb injury. The big question will be can he return to the game this season? And if he can, will he be the same JPP?

There are many unanswered questions for this young man who has been a proven player on the Giants defense.

The next few weeks will provide some of the answers, but for now Jason Pierre Paul's career in the NFL is on hold.
