Doug’s Sports Rap: Another Wild Finish For The Orange [VIDEO]

Most of us sat and looked at the TV thinking this could go either way, NC State battled  against that tough Syracuse Zone D grabbing rebounds and giving their team second and third chance opportunities many of which they capitalized on.

Syracuse’s offensive weapons seemed a little off as players missed-fired but the game was close the whole way I think 5 or 6 points was the biggest lead any team had the entire game.

With less than a minute, we saw Tyler Ennis (the hero of the previous game) foul a defender behind the 3 point line, and watching that player make all 3 free throws, then he forced an NC  turner over before being called for a charging violation with 14.7 seconds left and Syracuse down by a point.

Fans needed a little Christmas and they got it as the he (Rakeem Christmas) stole the ball off a corner trap and CJ Fair raced down the court and laid it up with 6 left on the clock, NC State tried to get the ball up the court with no time outs left but failed to get a good shot and the magical season for the Jim Boeheim and his #1 ranked basketball team went to 25 straight and 12-0 in the ACC. Defeating NC state 56-55.

The Dome will be rockin’ again on Thursday night when the Orange host Boston College at 7pm.
