Bob Seger's musical portrait of the life of a rock musician on the road was released in 1973. Although it was never released it as a single, the live version from his 1976 album, 'Live Bullet', got airplay on many classic rock stations!

In 1998 Metallic covered the song which reached the number one position on the Hot Mainstream Rock Charts and stayed there for 11 weeks.

One of the things I like about this cover is that the band took a whole different approach on the song's original subject and made it about, well I don't want to spoil it for you. Just watch the video below, and check out the Seger version too!
