This week's 'Got Ya Covered' features the song "Crimson and Clover", originally recorded by Tommy James and The Shondells.

Crimson and Clover was the biggest hit for Tommy James and The Shondells and was released in 1968 when a rough cut version was leaked by a radio station. It spent 16 weeks on the charts reaching the number one position. Basically, the song was meant to changed the band's style.
In 1982, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts released a cover version that went to #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Check out that video below! I also included the original version because it is still one of my favorites. Enjoy!
