Donation Pays Full-Ride Scholarships to At-Need Students
Binghamton University has a million dollars more to help dozens of students earn their bachelor degrees.
The Give Something Back program founder and chair, Robert Carr has presented a one-million dollar check to the University to provide 50 Pell Grant-eligible students with full-ride scholarships.
The program recruits high-need students in 9th grade and provides mentoring and skills development throughout high school to get ready for college.
Binghamton University is only one of three universities in New York State to launch the program that was started in 2003.
