Disorderly Woman Tries Unsuccessful Hiding Place Switch in Johnson City

A Johnson City woman is facing a felony charge after Village Police say she tried to sneak some marijuana out of her brassiere while at the Police Station and hide it under a bench.

22 year old Franchavia Watkins was taken in to the Police Station June 11 after authorities responded to reports of a woman screaming and swearing in front of a home on Grand Avenue.  Police say they arrested her after she was warned several times by officers to stop.

While being processed, an officer said she was seen removing a bagging containing pot from her bra and trying to stash it under the bench.

Watkins is charged with felony tampering with evidence, and violations of disorderly conduct and marijuana possession.

She was sent to the Broome County Jail.
