Did ‘The Simpsons’ Predict Arnold Palmer’s Death? Or Just An Odd Coincidence?
The 28th season premiere of The Simpsons happened last night (Sunday, 9/25/16). During the episode, there was a reference to golf legend Arnold Palmer that seems to be an odd coincidence:
In the scene, Homer filled a super-soaker water gun and said:
I’m going to fill a Super Soaker full of lemonade, Karl’s going to fill one with iced tea and we’re going to Arnold Palmer Lenny when he walks in!” Marge says, “Arnold Palmer Lenny? You’re going to Arnold Palmer Lenny?” "Yeah, you see, Arnold Palmer was a golfer and he made up this drink where it’s not a full glass of lemonade or a full glass of iced tea,” Homer says.
Among all of his accolades in as a golf legend, he is also credited as the "inventor" of this half tea, half lemonade mixture.
Such an odd coincidence that "The Simpsons" made this reference last night, of all nights, and also stated what "Arnold Palmer WAS a golfer..."
