1973 was a good year. l graduated from High School and Elton John had a huge hit on his hands. That song was Crocodile Rock.

Elton co-wrote this smash hit with Bernie Taupin, one of many collaborations between the two talented writers. Elton and Bernie wrote the song in 1972 while in France. The song is on the album 'Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player', which contains other great tunes like Honky Cat and Daniel.

Crocodile Rock remained in the top spot for 3 weeks and has been certified Gold and Platinum.
