Tomorrow night (Thursday, Feb. 8th), The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the Floyd L Maine's Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Binghamton. The Globetrotters are not only awesome basketball players but they are some of the funniest men that you will ever meet. They put on an amazing show with great trick shots as well as comedic interludes that include; pulling down the refs pants, giving the ref a ball with no air in it, and of course the great bucket routine. That's where one of the players will empty a bucket at one of the other players who move out of the way, causing someone in the crowd gets covered in either water, confetti, or nothing at all.

When you take kids to see the Harlem Globetrotters, it may sound cliche, but it really does make memories that last a lifetime. I remember my wife and me taking my step-son Ian to see the Globetrotters at the Arena when he was about 8 or 9 years. Now, Ian is 21. When he was home from college over the Christmas break, a commercial for the Harlem Globetrotters came on. He looked at me and asked me if I remembered taking him to go see them? I said of course I do. I asked him if he remembered going to see them? He said he did. He said he remembers laughing and having a great time.

Buckets Blakes from the Globetrotters stop by the Freezone last week, and if you missed that interview you can hear it in its entirety below. Tickets are still available for the Globetrotters game at The Arena box office and through Ticketmaster. They will be available right through game time tomorrow night.
