Fox News Channel star Jeanine Pirro may have been in a hurry when she was driving through Tioga County in November but she apparently isn't in a rush to settle a speeding charge.

State police said the 66-year-old Pirro - an Elmira native - was cited for driving 119 mph on Route 17 in the Town of Nichols.

A trooper issued the ticket after a vehicle driven by Pirro was pulled over on November 19. The ticket reportedly was returnable to Nichols town court by mail or in person on January 8.

A court clerk Tuesday afternoon said there had been no disposition of the case. She said the file was still open and there was no indication Pirro had answered the charge.

There was no response to an email request for comment from Pirro and an inquiry to Fox News Channel was directed to the network's public relations office.

In a statement released after the ticket was issued, Pirro indicated she didn't realize how fast she had been driving. She also said she believes "in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences."

Pirro hosts the weekend "Justice with Judge Jeanine" program on Fox News Channel. She is a former Westchester County district attorney.
