Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say a white man entered the Mirabito Gas Station on North Main Street at 5:07 a.m., forcibly stole items and threw hot coffee in the face of the cashier.

The suspect is white, thin, standing about 5’, 7” to 5’, 9” tall. He is seen on surveillance film wearing a pull-on camouflage hat and a hooded, zip-front jacket.

The clerk reported that it appeared the man had a large knife in a sheath on his waistband, but no weapon was displayed.

The suspect is believed to have fled south on North Main Street in a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu, possibly model year between 2013 and 2015.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Gary Miller at (607) 337-1935.
