The batteries are charged and the Whale Time Machine is set to go back to October 8th, 1988.

For that was the day one of Rock's best albums ever, dropped off the Billboard Hot 200 Album Chart. That album belongs to Pink Floyd and the album is, you guessed it, 'The Dark Side of the Moon.'

The album was released on March 1st, 1973 and once it entered the Top 200 Album Chart, it stayed there for a record breaking 741 weeks. In 2009, the album re-entered the charts at number 189. It has been in and out of the chart since, and continues to rack up the number of weeks on the US album chart.

For this week's Classic Rock Throwback Thursday, let's travel to the Royal Albert Hall in 1986 and look in on Pink Floyd's performance of Time.
