July 5th,1969. That's the date set for this week's Classic Rock Time Machine.

We're at a Rolling Stones concert, where we get to see the debut of a new guitarist. This person had replaced Brian Jones. That person is Mick Taylor. The concert is at Hyde Park in London. What a way to debut. There's about 250,000 screaming Stones fans in attendance at this free show. It was also just a few days after Brian Jones has passed away.

Mick remained a member of the Rolling Stones until 1974, when he decided to quit. It was not revealed exactly why, except maybe he just wanted to go solo. For this week's Classic Rock Throwback Thursday, let's look in at The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park singing 'Honky Tonk Woman.'
