Keith Moon led quite a life. He loved to joke around and he also had a destructive streak, which unfortunately led to his demise.

At a concert back in the early 70s during The Who's 'Quadrophenia' tour stop at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, Keith Moon collapsed during the performance of 'Won't Get Fooled Again.' Somehow, horse tranquillizer was mixed in with his brandy.

After a 30 minute break, Keith returned to the stage, but passed out again during the performance of 'Magic Bus.' After a few songs without Keith, Pete Townsend apparently had enough, and asked the audience if anyone could play the drums well. The person obviously would have had to know the band's songs well. That's when a teenager, Scott Halpin, who was in the audience, volunteered, and ended up playing the drums for the final three songs. How cool was that?
