Classic Rock Pick Of The Week – The Doobie Brothers [VIDEO]

Since the Doobie Brothers are coming to the BU Campus next month, I thought it would be a good time to highlight a couple of their best tunes.
One is “Long Train Running” and the other – “China Grove.”

“Long Train Running’” came off the album “The Captain and Me” in 1973 written by Tom Johnston, who is still with the band and was a top ten hit in the U.S.

“China Grove” also came from “The Captain and Me” and was written by Tom.
The song is based on China Town, Texas.

We’re looking forward to rockin’ with The Doobie Brothers July 1st at the Anderson Center on the BU Campus!
Here’s “Long Train Runnin’ recorded live from The Wolf Trap in 2010 and “China Grove” recorded live from the Greek Theatre in 1982.
