Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy destroyed Asbury Park, New Jersey's boardwalk.
You know, the one that Bruce Springsteen mentions in the lyrics to the song " Sandy (4th of July, Asbury Park)."

But we're confident the rebuild will not be far off, and in case you were wondering, The Stone Pony, where Springsteen has performed many times, survived with just minor flood damage.

As for the song - the Boss released it in 1973, and first appeared as the second song on 'The Wild, The Innocent and The E Street Shuffle.'

It's been called "the perfect musical study of the Jersey Shore boardwalk culture" and is one of Bruce Springsteen's most powerful ballads.

Enjoy this version of the song!
