February 13th, 1981 is the date the 'Dark Side of the Moon' from Pink Floyd grabbed the honor of becoming the rock album to spend the most consecutive weeks (402) in the Top 200 Album charts according to Billboard Magazine, since it's debut in March of 1973.
Of course 'Dark Side of the Moon' continued it's amazing run on the album chart for 724 weeks, finally dropping off in 1988.
Approximately 50 millions albums have been sold.
