'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' by Iron Butterfly clocks in at 17 minutes 5 seconds, from the 1968 album of the same name, taking up the entire second side of the album.
The album was recorded in Hempstead, NY in May of '68, and peaked at number 30 on the US charts.
The story goes that the song's actual title was 'In The Garden Of Eden,' but singer Doug Ingle was under the influence of whatever and slurred the words of the song during the recording.
But is that true?
'In A Gadda Da Vida' has been used in many video games, movies and TV shows, including The Simpsons as the original title by I. Ron Butterfly.
take a 17 minute break, relax and enjoy this old video of the song.
