The Marshall Tucker Band.
They are one of my favorite Classic Rock bands, and while the current edition that graced the stage of the Spiediefest and Balloon Rally a few years ago is not the original line-up, they sounded great just the same.

While the band has a great repertoire of tunes, the biggest hit was "Heard it in a Love Song.'
That tune came off the 1977 album 'Carolina Dreams.'
It peaked at number 14 on the U.S. charts in March of 1977.
Toy Caldwell penned that gem.

Ther are two other tunes on that album that I enjoy - 'Desert Skies' and "Fly Like an Eagle', but the album will always be best known for 'Heard it in a Love Song."
Found this video of the tune from their tour back in '77.
Enjoy!
