June 10th, 1972 was a good day for the Rolling Stones in the United Kingdom.

For it was on this day, their current album at the time, 'Exile On Main Street' topped the album chart in the UK. The album is a double and the seventh for The Stones to hit number one across the pond. Some great tunes came out of the LP, including 'Tumbling Dice', 'Loving Cup', 'Happy', 'Rocks Off' and 'Rip this Joint.'

The album proved to be so popular, that in 2010, The Rolling Stones re-released the album, and it went to number one again in the United Kingdom.  Rolling Stones are the first act to ever have a studio album return to No.1 after it was first released. It debuted at number two on the U.S. album chart.
