Born in 1950 in Handworth, Birmingham England, he is an accomplished drummer.

Carl was had quite a career as far as the music world is concerned.
His bands include 'The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown', Atomic Rooster', Asia', and probably most importantly, 'Emerson, Lake & Palmer' with Keith Emerson and Greg Lake.

Carl is listed in the top 10 of Rolling Stone Magazines '100 Greatest Drummers of All Time.'
