Let's unleash the Animal for this week's Classic Rock Pick.

I'm specifically talking about the song Animal from Def Leppard. This song is one of my favorites from the band who hails from Sheffield, England.

Def Leppard was born in 1977 and the current lineup of Rick Allen, Phil Collen, Vivian Campbell, Joe Elliott and Rick Savage is the longest of the band's history. There biggest success came from the 80's and early 90's.

The band has 11 albums to date containing many hits including Armageddon It, Bringin' On The Heartbreak, Foolin', Let's Get Rocked, Love Bites, Rock of Ages, Hysteria, Too Late For Love, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Two Steps Behind and Animal.

The song Animal was released in 1987 from the album 'Hysteria.' The tune reached number 19 on the US singles chart, but fared better in the UK, topping out at number 6, becoming the first top 10 UK song for Def Leppard.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, take a gander at Def Leppard performing Animal, live in concert in 1988 at the McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado.
