I have been in the music business for a few decades now, and to this day, it still impresses me how popular Classic Rock remains.

We get many questions about the Classic Rock music that airs on The Whale. Most of the questions are "What was the song title or artist of that tune you just played.' Sometimes I get an e-mail asking to identify a song we played a couple of weeks ago that started with a guitar riff sometime between 6am and 9pm. That's a tough one to answer.

For those of us in the radio business, we have to remind ourselves that music and radio is the number one thing in our lives. For you, our listener it's not as much. You all actually have real lives, and that's a good thing! For a caller or e-mail asking those types of questions, is just fine with us. We're happy to answer your inquires about Classic Rock. And if we don't have the answer, which is rare, we'll find it out for you.

Many times, the question comes from a younger listener, which is exciting for us old guys, because that just means the younger generation is embracing this timeless music. Classic Rock was meant to last, and judging by the popularity of the music, it will continue to be that way for a long time to come.

So thanks for listening, and continue to call us if you don't know a song title or artist, or just to chat about anything that's on your mind!
