The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) has a new leader.  Jack Seman has been promoted to CHOW Director.  He succeeds Mike Leahey who served in that capacity for over four years.  Lehaey moves into the role of Development and Community Relations Director for the Broome County Council of Churches, the organization under which CHOW operates.

In Leahey's new position he will be working with donors and community advocates to elevate the Council of Church's visibility in the area.  His duties branch out from CHOW to all facets of the organization.

Seaman has been working in conjunction with Leahey for some time.  He started as a volunteer and went on to work in the CHOW warehouse.  CHOW coordinates and works with numerous individuals, groups and organizations in collecting and purchasing non-perishable food for needy people in our community.

CHOW recently worked with postal carriers in Broome County to collect food from area residents.  Other major projects include the annual CHOW Hunger Walk which is next scheduled for September 17,2017 and Food-A-Bago which is held annually in early October.
