Celebrating New Year’s Eve in the Southern Tier

There may be nothing "dropping" in the Southern Tier, but we are certainly not lacking for ways to bring in 2014.

A huge array of bars and clubs are having parties this year. I remember things being quiet back in 2010, but it's not the case now. Many local community organizations are also having events. Contact them for the details.

First Night Windsor is happening with its base at the Windsor High School parking lot for 6 pm to midnight. Free admission and very family friendly. There is a shuttle to venues and a list of events.

The American Legion Post 86 on Main Street in Susquehanna is having a New Years Eve party from 7 pm til close. Live music from Distant Thunder, food and drink.

The Doubletree by Hilton is having a cool "Old Hollywood, Red Carpet Reception". It sounds like fun! Contact the hotel for details.

The Tri-Cities Opera is presenting Casablanca New Years Eve at the Binghamton Club beginning at 7 pm. What a cool idea! Channel your inner Bogey for this and help raise funds for a vital local organization.
