Hanukkah, the festival of lights, began on the night of the 16th and ends on the night of the 24th.

It is a beautiful celebration and we can all enjoy it tonight! The Binghamton JCC, 500 Clubhouse Road in Vestal, is having a Hanukkah celebration, open to all, tonight from 5:15 to 7 pm.

The festivities begin at 5:15 with the candle lighting and teens doing the torch walk to light the outdoor menorah. if you haven't seen this, you will be amazed at how beautiful the moment is.

Then, there will be performances by JCC preschool children & a community Hanukkah video, followed by dinner at 5:50pm, which will include traditional Hanukkah foods (including homemade latkes).  There will also be games, crafts, dreidels & gelt.

Cost is $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for children (with a family max of $28.00.)

On Saturday night, the B-Sens will be celebrating Hanukkah too! At 6 pm in the concourse at the arena, their will be a community celebration with festive music and fun for the whole family plus a raffle for autographed B-Sens goodies. Game time is 7:05 and at the first intermission, at about 7:45 pm, there will be a menorah lighting in the concourse.
