December 16, 1970. It was a good day for the guys in the band Creedence Clearwater Revival.

That was the day things went gold for CCR. And by gold, I mean several of their works became certified gold. That included five of their albums and five of their singles.

Those gems included the albums Willy and The Poor Boys, Bayou Country, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Green River and my first album (and favorite) Cosmo's Factory.

The five singles are Bad Moon Rising, Down On The Corner, Up Around The Bend, Travelin' Band and Looking Out My Back Door.

Sad that the original group are no longer together, but their music will never disappear. Let's enjoy this version of Bad Moon Rising from a Johnny Cash TV show segment in 1969, complete with canned applause, as our Classic Rock Pick of the Week!
