Classic Rock Pick Of The Week – ‘Heard It In A Love Song’ – MTB [Video]

The Marshall Tucker Band.
They are one of my favorite Classic Rock bands, and while the current edition that graced the stage of the Spiediefest and Balloon Rally a few years ago is not the original line-up, they sounded great just the same

'Back in Black' is the title of the song (released in 1981) and album it appears on (released in 1980), and is a tribute to Bon Scott.
It wasn't an easy write for the rest of the band members, but they got through it

Rock and Roll.
Led Zeppelin.
A great title, a great band, simple as that.
The song was recorded in late 1970/early 1971, and was first released as the second track from the 1971 LP, Led Zeppelin IV

Classic Rock Pick Of The Week – Love Stinks [Video]

Valentines Day is near.
If you know me, you know how I feel about that.
Manufactured holiday for the greater good of picking the pockets of every guy who is in a relationship.
Sound a bit harsh?

It peaked at number 20 on the Billboard charts.
No other song from Foghat reached that high.

There are five versions of 'Slow Ride' - an album and much shorter single version, live cuts from 1977 and 2007, plus a version found on the King Biscuit Flower Hour

Classic Rock Pick Of The Week – U2 ‘New Year’s Day’ [Video]

It's a new year, and so why not choose 'New Year's Day' by U2 as an appropriate song to highlight for this week?
Sounds good to me.

This video I found on YouTube, is a cool compilation by Tommy McGregor of the song done in concert from several venues

Classic Rock Pick Of The Week – Bon Jovi ‘Please Come Home For Christmas’ [Video]

Well, it's Christmas time, so it's only natural to feature a Christmas tune for this week's Classic Rock Pick Of The Week.

I looked at all the cool holiday tunes we play, and although many have a great video to accompany it, only one has a very hot Cindy Crawford in it, so Bon Jovi's 'Please Come Home For Christmas' gets the honor
