While I was putting together this week's Classic Rock Pick of the Week - Marshall Tucker Band's 'Heard it in a Love Song', I ran across a video that got my attention, Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall
It was on January 10th 1976 that 'Slow Ride' became the first of Foghat's five Billboard charted tunes.
It peaked at number 20 on the Billboard charts.
No other song from Foghat reached that high.
There are five versions of 'Slow Ride' - an album and much shorter single version, live cuts from 1977 and 2007, plus a version found on the King Biscuit Flower Hour
It's a new year, and so why not choose 'New Year's Day' by U2 as an appropriate song to highlight for this week?
