Can Manufacturing Planned for Nichols

A company that makes beverage cans plans to open a facility in Tioga County.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says Crown Holdings Incorporated plans to invest $132 million to build its first new manufacturing plant in more than 20 years in the Southern Tier.

Cuomo says more than 160 new jobs are expected.

The new manufacturing facility for the Philadelphia-based company is to be located in the Tioga County Industrial Park in Nichols.
