Camping Season Is Almost Here

From the beginning of May to the end of October, whenever I have free time, you will most likely find me at a campground in Northeast Pennsylvania.

While it's not technically 'camping' since my travel trailer has a lot of what you would find in a house, except much smaller, it's my getaway. I've made lots of friends, enjoying sitting around the campfire with a brew or two or more in hand, and listening to people talk about their lives.

There's a countdown clock on my office desk that I turn on each November 1st. It's set for May 1st and so the countdown begins. Today, it tells me there are 22 days until opening day. Am I a bit strange? Maybe. But we all have that one thing we look forward to every year. So, after I get off the air on Friday May 1st, you can bet I'll be out of the Southern Tier, at least for the weekend. I just hope my camping friends have the campfire blazing and the beer cold when I get there.
