Broome-Tioga BOCES Oak Tree Celebrity Dinner to Support Autism Awareness
Broome-Tioga BOCES will host their annual “Oak Tree Celebrity Pasta Dinner” on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 6-8pm at the Broome-Tioga BOCES Education Center, 435 Glenwood Road, Binghamton.
Last year, hundreds of people enjoyed dinner, which was served to them by local celebrities and BOCES says they're expecting an even larger turnout this year.
Oak Tree is the name of Broome-Tioga BOCES' program for children with autism and in addition to its classroom wing at BOCES's Glenwood education center, Oak Tree offers programs and services at several area schools and this pasta dinner helps make to make it possible for these programs to continue.
Dinner this year includes pasta with sauce (with or without meatballs) as well as a tossed salad, freshly baked rolls, hot or cold beverage and a choice of dessert. Dinner will be served Thursday evening, April 12th, from 6pm-8pm with special appearances from several political figures, television personalities and you never know- you might even bump into one of your favorite radio DJs!
Oh, and this will excite the kids- at the Oak Tree Celebrity Pasta Dinner, they'll have the chance to meet and get photos with some of their favorite characters. For the adults, there will be a plethora of basket raffles and every penny raised goes back into helping kids right in our community who have autism.
