State police say a man was sent to Broome County Jail after he was arrested by troopers two times in a span of just over four hours.

Authorities say 35-year-old Dennis Harrington initially was charged in connection with a fight that was reported at a town of Colesville residence Monday afternoon.

Harrington originally faced counts of criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. A stay-away order of protection was issued to the other person who had been involved with the dispute.

Troopers were called back to the Colesville home early Monday evening when Harrington returned. He was arrested again. This time he was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Harrington was ordered held on $5,000 bail.
