An estimated 100 people gathered at American Legion Post 1645 January 26 to talk to the newly-elected 22nd District Congressman.

Issues ranging from the government shutdown and border to security to topics hitting closer to home like prescription drug and medical costs, jobs and taxes were brought up in the session.

One issue the Democrat said was not totally expected was concerns raised over federal response to recent local flooding.

Brindisi says he plans Town Hall Meetings to be held on a monthly basis throughout the eight counties in the district.
