It was Halloween - October 31st, 1975, Freddy Mercury and his bandmates in the rock band Queen released one of their signature songs - Bohemian Rhapsody.

The song comes from their album 'A Night At The Opera' which includes another big hit for Queen, You're My Best FriendBohemian Rhapsody was written by Freddy, and clocks in at just under 6 minutes. That's a long song for a Top 40 hit in the 1970s.

While the song topped the singles charts in the UK, Canada and Australia among others, it got no higher than the number nine position on the US singles charts.

Of course, who can ever forget how popular the song was when it was featured in one of the Wayne's World movies? It became as popular again as it had the first time around, and I still get requests to play the song at events I DJ, including high schools.

For this week's Classic Rock pick, enjoy Freddy and Queen belting out an amazing rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
