Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody began it's life on this date (August 24th) in 1975. That's when recording of this iconic song had started at a recording studio in Wales. Freddy Mercury was the one who penned the song.

Bohemian Rhapsody spend a whopping nine weeks atop the U.K singles charts in late 1975 and early 1976, and also peaked at the number nine position on the U.S. singles charts. The song also fared well several other countries.

 

Later in the early 90s, Bohemian Rhapsody came back on the charts after being featured in the 'Wayne's World' movie. To this day, it's popularity. We get lots of requests on The Whala along with requests at weddings. parties and even high school dances. That is what you call a Classic.
