BB became one of the Blues best in the 1950's, but before that he drove a tractor, and was even a disc jockey for a radio station!

BB King will always be remembered for songs like After The Thrill Is Gone and many others including duets with U2, Van Morrison, Clapton, and other guitar legends, which he played on his signature Gibson guitar he called 'Lucille'.

Rolling Stone magazine has BB King listed at number 6 on the 100 greatest guitarist of all time.

Born in 1925, his real name was Riley King, but BB was taken from his nickname, 'Blues Boy'.

BB King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and won 15 Grammy's, the first one in 1970, and the last one in 2009.

He remained extremely active in music through his 70's, touring constantly, and even doing shows up to a few months ago.
