Paul Daniel Frehley was born on this day in 1951 in the Bronx. Paul of course, is better known as Ace Frehley of Kiss, and is celebrating his 65th birthday..

This singer, songwriter and guitarist is one of the founding members of Kiss and remained with the group until 1982, when he decided to go solo using his own name of course, and with Frehley's Comet.

That band had moderate success, but wasn't able to gain more popularity, and in 1989, Ace released the next album just under his name. Ace got back together with Kiss for a reunion tour in 1995, which proved to be very successful.

In 2000, Ace went back out on his own. He just released a new album of covers, 'Origins, Vol.1.' The album has a few guests on it, including Paul Stanley, Slash and Lita Ford. Covers include In The White Room, Magic Carpet Ride and Wild Thing.

Happy Birthday Ace! Let's celebrate with Ace performing White Room from his latest album.
