Binghamton’s Ross Park Zoo now knows their new baby prehensile tailed porcupine is a boy.  The little “porcupette” now needs a name.

The zoo will be taking votes for a name through Thursday, March 15 with the winning name announced on Friday, March 16.

Zoo fans can also help Ross Park’s annual appeal by contributing a donation along with a vote for a name.  The money will be used to expand Patience the sloth’s exhibit area.

To vote on a name, go to bit.ly/BingZooNamingContest.

You can also find a full schedule for the zoo for the upcoming season which starts with the spring Grand Opening April 21st along with information on volunteer opportunities and summer programs at the zoo website: www.rossparkzoo.com.
